We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join the central Candy Analytics team. In this role, you will drive strategic analytics projects, influence product direction, and support high-impact decision-making across the organization. You will operate at the intersection of data, product strategy, and player understanding, ensuring that insights are actionable, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

As a member of the team, you will investigate complex analytical problems, unearth strategic opportunities, and advocate for a holistic, insight-driven approach to product development. Your role will combine deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen, enabling you to guide both product teams and leadership in making informed, high-impact decisions. This role involves collaborations with multiple other research and product teams.

Your Role in Our Kingdom

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including other data scientists, product managers, designers, UX researchers, and corporate leadership to generate insights that directly influence product strategy and execution.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Driving Strategic Insights: Lead deep-dive analyses into player behavior, game performance, and feature impact to identify actionable opportunities that drive product and business growth.

  • Shaping Product Direction: Translate complex data into clear strategic recommendations, influencing roadmaps, feature prioritization, and long-term product vision.

  • Advancing Analytical Methodologies: Apply and evolve advanced analytical approaches, including causal inference, segmentation, and predictive modeling, to improve the quality and impact of insights.

  • Embedding Insights into Decision-Making: Partner with product and leadership teams to ensure insights are integrated into decision processes, from ideation to post-launch evaluation.

  • Identifying and Framing Opportunities: Proactively surface high-impact opportunities and frame them in a way that enables clear action and measurable outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Influence: Communicate insights effectively to a wide range of audiences, including senior leadership, translating complex analyses into compelling narratives that drive action.

Skills to Create Thrills

You are an analytically strong and business-savvy data scientist who can bridge the gap between data and strategy. You thrive in ambiguous environments and are motivated by turning complex problems into clear, impactful insights.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Advanced Analytical Expertise: Strong experience with exploratory analysis, segmentation, regression, and causal inference methods.

  • Strategic Thinking & Business Impact: Proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations that influence product and business decisions.

  • Product Understanding: Experience working closely with product teams (ideally in the gaming or entertainment sector), understanding product development cycles, and contributing to roadmap decisions.

  • Programming & Data Manipulation: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data analysis and modeling.

  • Data Storytelling & Communication: Ability to communicate complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working in cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Bonus Skills

  • Causal Inference & Experimentation Knowledge: Familiarity with A/B testing and causal methods to complement insight generation.

  • Behavioral & Player Analytics: Experience analyzing user behavior, retention, engagement, and monetization in digital products or games.

  • Machine Learning Applications: Experience with predictive modeling, clustering, or recommendation systems.

  • Experience Working with UX Research: Experience with connecting user research findings with data telemetry.
