Join our Frontend Platform Team at Kiwi.com! We’re the core unit responsible for maintaining essential frontend functionalities like the navigation bar, footer, and cookie modal. We use our open-source component library, Orbit, along with other internal tools to maintain a consistent and high-performing tech stack. This approach boosts team velocity and minimises maintenance efforts.
The team shapes our platform by drafting software design documents and actively contributes to our vibrant frontend community through initiatives like our weekly Web Open Hour. As a crucial part of our mission to evolve infrastructure and foster innovation, the team empowers our frontend operations and ensures a seamless user experience.
What you will do
- You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing our front-end delivery by integrating and optimising webviews within our native apps.
- Your efforts will be key in preparing our platforms to meet the standards of the European Accessibility Act.
- As a strategic planner, you will develop technical solutions and processes that aim for long-term success and a significant business impact at Kiwi.com.
- You will take ownership of our internal tools, libraries, and apps, dedicating yourself to their constant improvement and maintenance.
- Sharing your knowledge will be part of your journey; you’ll engage in frontend gatherings and mentorship, enriching our community with your expertise.
What you will need
- Strong understanding of webview integration, to efficiently optimise front-end delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, for clear explanation and documentation of technical details.
- Knowledge of modern frontend technologies like React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with testing frameworks including Jest, Testing Library, and Playwright.
- Demonstrated experience using code optimization tools such as Babel, ESLint, Webpack, and TypeScript.
- Knowledgeable in managing environments with Docker, Kubernetes, GCP, and Cloudflare Workers.
- Proven experience with GitLab CI for continuous integration workflows and application monitoring using Sentry and Datadog.
- A strong passion for driving accessibility and fostering collaboration across teams.
