About the Position

The Software Developer will expand the GDS Link software development team, with the ideal candidate having a strong background and experience in the lending industry and in developing analytics software. This individual will join the Product team to lead the efforts around the development of next generation of analytics products. This position will be based in Madrid, Spain.

The GDS teams build solutions in the financial realm to predict client behavior, to detectfinancial fraud, and to monitor model performance, among other targets. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with several years of React and or ASP .NET development experience, willing to constantly adapt to an evolving environment and continuously learn new technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:▪ Develop enterprise level applications for use in financial environment▪ Implement new features both front end and backend 
  • Maintain the exiting code base
  • Follow the existing JIRA based SDLC
  • Provide occasional level 3 support where necessary 
  • Adhere to secure software development standards

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 5 years of Software development experience
  • 3 years of experience with .Net and/or React JS
  • Understanding of application security concerns
  • Understanding of RESTful API’s
  • Good understanding of software engineering techniques needed to create code base that is maintainable over the long term
  • Experience with version control - ideally git
  • Excellent understanding of Database principals. Working knowledge of common RDBMS
  • Strong problem-solving capacity
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Professional attitude
  • Additional skills
    • Knowledge of cloud solutions (Amazon Web Services) o Python
    • Experienceinlendingindustry
    • Experiencemanaging/supervisingteams
