We are strengthening our defences at Kiwi.com! We’re the team responsible for information security at the company, helping our engineers build and maintain our product securely as well as supporting secure operations of the company and offices. To do that, we employ a wide array of tools such as Okta, Cloudflare, Datadog and many others, including some that are built internally. It’s crucial to remember that tools are only half of the equation – cooperation and communication with teams, stakeholders and managers is crucial for a successful security program.     What you will do

  • Your responsibility will be to identify security threats and risks in our infrastructure and applications.
  • You will evaluate security measures across technologies used by our engineering teams.
  • You’ll assist with the adoption of security standards and practices across our engineering organization Conduct regular market research on cloud security products and open-source tools.
  • You will write internal security guidelines, present them, and explain them to developers.
  • Participate in security war games to uncover risks and strengthen our security.
  • You’ll support monitoring and incident response efforts as needed.
  • What you will need

  • Strong expertise in securing cloud-based IT systems and services, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated coding/scripting skills, preferably in Python, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tooling, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • An understanding of web authentication principles like JWT, OIDC, or mTLS.
  • A sense of ownership in your work and the proven ability to work autonomously.
