One of our top clients is seeking a skilled SAP/SQL Server DBA to manage databases and join a team of experienced technicians working with the latest versions of database technologies, including both RDBMS and non-SQL platforms such as SQL Server, SAP ASE, SAP IQ, SAP HANA, and MongoDB.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and high performance of our applications by:
- Ensuring adherence to established quality standards for deploying RDBMS
- Utilizing automated deployment tools while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of processes, documentation, and quality standards
- Monitoring SLA compliance through defined KPIs
Hybrid position in Madrid
Responsibilities:
The SAP /SQL Server DBA that we are looking for will be responsible for:
- SQL Server and SAP ASE,IQ: Installing, configuring, and managing
- Incident response
- Project Deployment
- Monitoring performance and service
- Support to development teams
- 24x7 support shifts
What we are looking for:
Mandatory requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or telecommunications or proven work experience
- + 3 years of experience in SQL Server: Perform core SQL Server Basis administration functions including software installations, configurations, support package update and upgrade, performance monitoring, tuning and capacity management. Experience in migration of versions with minimum impact
- + 2 years of experience in SAP ASE or IQ: Perform SAP basic administration functions including software installations, configurations, support package update and upgrade, performance monitoring, tuning and capacity management
- Scripting in Linux
- English at B2 level
Other desirables requirements:
- Experience in Agile Methodologies
- Other DDBB and Non-relational DDBB (Snowflake and Mongo DB)
- Ansible
- Knowledge of databases on cloud: AWS and Azure
- SAP HANA
- Jira and Confluence
