About You and this Role
The Liferay Engineering team is looking for QAs with a solid knowledge of software testing, with the ability to create high quality automated test software using open source solutions. The candidate has to be able to work with team members to identify test priorities, plan and execute test automation strategies for their teams, and ensure that the overall quality of the application is consistently improving

- Manoel Cyreno - He is our EMEA QA Manager.
- Tech Leader - This person is in charge of coordinating the development of your team.
- Project Manager - This person is in charge of planning each sprint based on product priorities.
- Backend/Frontend Team - They will be your support on a day-to-day basis. They are in charge of implementing the features.
- QA Team - They will be your support on a day-to-day basis. They are in charge of executing the features tests of the features currently implemented.
What you’ll do
- Improve testing approach and execution for the team by collaborating with the QA Engineers, Developer Leads, and other product stakeholders.
- Contribute to test plans for features based on established risk profiles and use cases as designed by the QA Lead.
- Contribute to overall test strategy for the development team as defined by the QA Lead.
- Mentors less experienced team members
- Inspires and motivates others through technical excellence and best engineering practices.
- Actively participates in team discussions and challenges the status quo when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent level of knowledge
- Intermediate English Level
- Advanced local language
- Basic knowledge of common programming/scripting languages or markup (e.g. Java, JavaScript, Ant, HTML, CSS)
- Intermediate level knowledge in developing automated tests (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Experience working with Continuous Integration (e.g. Jenkins, GitActions, TravisCI, etc), as part of an Agile Testing Methodology
- Experience working with source control management tools such as Github
- Experience using Issue Management systems (e.g. JIRA, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of databases (such as MySQL, Oracle, etc)
- Basic knowledge of Java Application Servers (e.g. Tomcat)
- A willingness to continuously learn and get better
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, self-starter, quick learner and, proactive beyond your duty
- Good team player. You'll be part of the Liferay family and this is important for us
