Job Description

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Technology Team in Madrid!

At Eurovision Services, our Technology Team is the driving force behind everything we do — from the infrastructure that powers our networks and corporate systems to the software that supports global media and sports events. The team designs, implements, and maintains a secure, cutting-edge technical ecosystem that enables high-quality, cost-efficient services for our customers worldwide.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be part of a talented and motivated core team that will support Eurovision Services in delivering the most innovative and reliable solutions for our customers around the world.


WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

Cloud & Infrastructure

    • Be responsible for the cloud infrastructure (AWS) where our products are deployed.
    • Manage AWS services, including VPC, Subnetting, EKS, S3, CloudFront, EC2, Lambda, Route53 etc.
    • Configure, maintain and deploy infrastructure using configuration management and Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform and GitLab.
    • Deploy, operate and maintain containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and RancherOS.
    • Ensure performance, scalability, security and stability of all systems.

    DevOps Practices & CI/CD

    • Promote a DevOps mindset across teams, automating and standardizing deployment processes.
    • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Bamboo to streamline application delivery in all environments.
    • Apply GitOps practices with Argo CD.
    • Embrace version control principles: “In God we trust, anything else must be in Git.”
    • Actively participate in automation and process improvement initiatives.

    Monitoring & Observability

    • Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of monitoring strategies to ensure platform stability and observability.
    • Manage and improve monitoring stack components including Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, Alertmanager, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Opsgenie and Amazon CloudWatch.
    • Build and maintain dashboards and alerts to provide visibility and actionable insights for operations and development teams.

    Process Optimization

    • Work closely with software development and operational support teams to ensure smooth delivery and operations of services.
    • Share knowledge through documentation, best practices, and training sessions.

    AI/ML & Advanced Automation

    • Lead the definition and implementation of AI and AI agent integration into operational workflows, helping to shape the company’s strategy for automation.
    • Support AI/ML workloads in production environments, including lifecycle automation, container orchestration and integration with DevOps pipelines.



    WHAT EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

      • 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure roles, with a strong background in designing, deploying and operating production systems at scale.
      • Previous exposure to automation, CI/CD, GitOps and cloud-native platforms is essential.
      • Proven track record working in complex hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
      • Experience leading or driving new technology adoption initiatives (e.g., AI, advanced automation) is considered a strong differentiator.
      • Experience in the media, broadcast, streaming or similarly demanding real-time industries is a plus.



    YOUR SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Operation and support mindset: being familiar with L1 / L2 / L3 incidents management.
    • Strong knowledge about monitoring solutions, specially Elasticsearch, Prometheus, InfluxDB, Graphite and Grafana.
    • System administration skills:
      • Linux infrastructure
      • Databases and distributed systems (my SQL).
    • Containers and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.)
    • Scripting language (Bash, Python).
    • DevOps mindset & methodologies: CI/CD tools (Bamboo, GitLab, argoCD…) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitLab).
    • Git control versioning (Github, Bitbucket).
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and a high sense of urgency.
    • Proactive, self-driven, and able to identify improvements, innovating tools and opportunities to automate or reduce manual work.
    • Advanced Level of English


    ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

    Additional experience in the following areas would be a bonus:

    • Some experience in IPTV/OTT/Media/Broadcast software development projects is nice to have.
    • Experience with the Atlassian suite is a plus (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Opsgenie).

    Education:

    Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or similar degree (Master or Bachelor).
