Melbot Studios is currently seeking a Technical Artist who possesses a fervor for video games, a well-documented history in game development, and the enthusiasm (and positive energy) to lead a team of creatives.

About The Role

Lead the technical art team by defining long-term strategies, fostering innovation in art creation, and optimizing pipelines while maintaining high-quality standards. Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies, coordinate team tasks, and ensure excellence in in-game content, making a significant impact on the game development.

Responsabilites

  • Contribute to the formulation of technology roadmaps tailored to the specific project requirements.
  • Strike a harmonious balance between the imaginative vision of the projects and the constraints of the technical budget.
  • Collaborate closely with team leaders to pinpoint and cultivate art production processes and technologies that align with artists’ needs, enabling the creation of high-quality art with limited resources. Additionally, provide technical assistance to the team regarding any art pipeline-related issues.
  • Assume the role of the go-to expert for engine art-related matters, serving as a point of reference for the team on technical art matters and offering solutions to intricate challenges as they arise.
  • Prepare the necessary technical setup and comprehensive documentation.
  • Conduct technical validation of the assets generated by the team to ensure they meet the requisite technical standards.
  • Develop and maintain tools to support the team’s workflow.
