Our Pocket Champs team (wait, you still don't know what Pocket Champs is? Mmmhh check our Mad trailer !!👀) and our New Games organization is looking for a Technical Artist to operate on a studio level.
Your future responsibilities and scope:
Join us as Technical Artist where you'll be an integral part of both Game Automation and Game Art teams.
Your passion for mobile gaming will drive you to stay ahead of trends, innovations, and competition, enriching your team with valuable insights.
Working closely with the Game Automation Team and the Game Art team, you'll spearhead the creation of visually stunning games from ideation to production. With your technical expertise, you'll bridge the gap between art and engineering, ensuring seamless integration of visuals into the game.
As the technical backbone of the art team, you'll handle various tools and technologies with ease, from 3D modelling to shader development.
Your Tasks:
- Centralize Tech Art Guidance & define the tech art best practices to be followed in our games.
- Document use cases explaining the tradeoff of different tech art solutions.
- Impact our game productions through targeted missions
- Develop shaders in Unity and share them in a centralised library.
- Find optimizations on our games and put them in place.
- Find tech art solutions to support the artistic vision and prevent going for a compromise in our quality.
- Build an efficient Art Pipeline
- Build tools in Unity to facilitate the production.
- Build Blender tools to facilitate content creation and integration.
- Integrate and improve AI tools for content generation to maximise the efficiency of our art pipeline.
The profile we are looking for:
- At least 5 years in mobile video games development
- Excellent knowledge of one major 3D software packages (Blender preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Shader language (Glsl/Hlsl/CG) and real time rendering
- Excellent understanding of how to optimise games content for memory and performance
- Experience with character rigging for animation
- Good knowledge of textures creation using tools such as Photoshop/Substance Designer/Painter
- Good knowledge of Unity and C#
- Good knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of Compute Shaders
- Proven track record of both artistic and technical creativity with a passion for solving problems
- Passion and drive to push visual quality and streamline workflows
- Experience in creating various game content (animations/modelling/vfx etc)
- Lead AI integration efforts, seamlessly blending artistry with cutting-edge technology to create immersive and intelligent gaming experiences.
- A proactive communicator, willing to give and receive constructive feedback
