YOUR MISSION
Ensure System Quality: Maintaining scalability, availability, and security of our systems while writing clean code and conducting code reviews.
Enhance Infrastructure: Monitor and improve the infrastructure for our services
Balanced Workload: Spend 50% of your time on operations and 50% on platform development and automation.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with developers and other experts to achieve shared goals.
Foster Shared Responsibility: Promote collaboration by sharing ownership with developers.
On-Call Support: Be part of the on-call team to ensure 24/7 system operations.
YOUR PROFILE
Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or similar platforms.
System Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of system engineering, including networking, Linux operating systems, databases, and security.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one high-level programming or scripting language (e.g., Golang, Python, Bash).
Automation and Scalability: Experience in developing automations and working with scalable, high-performance systems.
Infrastructure as Code: Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Independent Work: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate a high level of ownership.
Bilingual Communication: Professional proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly.
OUR TECH STACK
Development Languages: We write services, lambdas, and scripts using Golang and Python.
Cloud Hosting: Our infrastructure is primarily hosted on AWS.
Containerization: New-generation infrastructure is deployed using Kubernetes on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).
Local Development: Use Docker, Docker Compose, and Minikube for local development environments.
CI/CD Tools: Implement continuous integration and delivery using Travis and AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.
Data Handling: Manage over 1TB of player data, addressing challenges related to storage and scaling.
