What you'll do
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions at scale
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing timely support our customers
  • Stay current with industry best practices and tools for developer experience
  • Contribute to the entire software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
What you'll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering solutions for large-scale applications.
  • Strong proficiency in one or more high-level programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or similar languages.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for creating maintainable and scalable software systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD and build tools.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience with Android or/and IOS development is preferred.
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
What's nice to have
  • Good understanding of APIs and Android SDKs
  • Experience in C++ programming for performance optimization and integration within Android applications
  • Analytical skills to determine and improve the testability of development deliverables and to find root causes and solutions for detected issues

We're the Navigation SDK team. We work on complex code to develop TomTom's Navigation Software Development Kit, integrating technologies provided by other Product Units and enabling our customers to easily build competitive navigation applications. Your code will also be at the heart of TomTom's navigation products like AmiGO, helping millions of people find their way in the world.
