We are looking for an experienced and motivated UX Designer to join our international team in Barcelona.

Our secure, cloud-based platform empowers Life Sciences innovators with a single, end-to-end solution for AI-powered image analysis, data management, and central radiology reads. You will be responsible for delivering user-friendly, analytically based and differentiated interfaces and experiences for QMENTA's medical imaging platform for various types of users, including neurologists, radiologists, project managers and academic researchers. Your focus will be on intuitive design as it will increase the usage of reliable and reproducible research tools and accelerate Clinical Trials and neuro-pharmaceutical R&D. You will support and work closely with our software developers, Product Owner, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Own the design process, from research, concept, design, and prototyping
Create consistent UX and visual designs for the web front-end of the platform
Work closely with the Product Owner and developers by providing prototypes and detailed mock-ups.
Ensure compliance with design, brand, and/or legal requirements
Guide management and developers on design related issues
Perform user research, including video interviews with users in various time zones, and analysis of user behavior on the platform
Perform Usability Engineering studies with the goal of acquiring certifications, for example CE or FDA
Together with our graphics designer and Marketing department, create clear and consistent UX and visual design guidelines to represent QMENTA
Required skills and experience
At least 5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer or similar UX-related role
Strong portfolio of work demonstrating a deep understanding of product/UX design principles
Understand the design process and provide tools to enhance that process
Fluent in best practices and standards for user centered design processes
Independent delivery of UX solutions of large scope and complexity
High proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma. Be an effective communication bridge between UX and Engineering
Be able to prototype multiple design alternatives for user research
Provide technical advice on what is possible to help guide a design discussion
Advanced English skills (oral and written)
Pragmatic approach to delivering results
Desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Desired Qualifications (optional)
Familiar and comfortable with SCRUM and Lean UX principles
High proficiency in web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JS
Experience working with medical software, for example for Clinical Trials management, medical image processing or Electronic Data Capture (EDC).
