CARTO with its new CARTO 3 platform has built the most advanced location intelligence platform which connects directly to the most used Data Warehouses in the industry such as Google’s BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake and Databricks; thus, allowing our partners and customers to do location intelligence and geospatial analysis directly where their data lives opening limitless possibilities for their businesses.
Our frontend technology is based 100% on React and it’s free of legacy code as it has been built from scratch by a very strong engineering team, which we are looking to expand with this position.
The Engineer team at CARTO works remotely from different parts of Europe. The position is fully remote.

Workflows:is a tool that provides a visual language for designing and executing multi-step spatial analytics procedures. It allows users to build complex analytical processes by connecting nodes in a directed graph structure.

Workspace: the dashboard that controls our product. It uses React +
Redux.Builder: webGL empowered, high-performance web application for geospatial analytic visualizations. Based on the well known Open Source project
kepler.gl. React + Redux.

Carto -api-client: a client-side interface written in TypeScript that simplifies interactions with CARTO’s APIs, enabling developers to efficiently build geospatial applications.

deck.gl is one of the most popular Open Source mapping libraries, it’s a WebGL-powered reactive framework for visual exploratory data analysis of large datasets. Our major contributions there are the
MVTLayer, the integration with
Google Maps and the
CARTO module.
