Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a cross-functional team, adopting agile methodologies within a DevOps-centric framework
• Design, implement, deploy, release, and monitor team applications, while participating in pull request reviews
• Understand business objectives by engaging with colleagues from various divisions of our client
• Participate in planning and feature refinement sessions alongside your team
• Partner with Solution Architects to design solutions aligned with Julius Baer's architecture vision
• Contribute to our Software Engineering communities by sharing expertise and supporting peers
• Deliver high-quality code consistent with client guidelines and standards

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Proven background in backend software engineering with .NET Core and Entity Framework
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, SQL databases (MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres), and service-oriented architectures
• Skills in streaming technologies like Kafka and Avro
• Knowledge of .NET Core and Framework, Entity Framework, service-oriented architecture, RESTful services, SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL), Angular, React, both JavaScript and Typescript; Kubernetes (PKS) and Virtual Machines; Streaming with Kafka, Avro; Open API, UML
• Familiarity with TDD, BDD, and robust automated testing strategies
• Understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
• Enthusiasm for continuous learning and contributing to technological advancement
• A pragmatic, proactive approach with an open and entrepreneurial mindset
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with peers and stakeholders
