To support our development team, we are looking for a Senior Back-end Developer to work on the design and the development of the systems serving hotels around the world; we put the accent on having reliable, performant and scalable services.
Job Description
You will be a member of the team that design the software that processes billions of review, survey, and management data daily. In this team you will enjoy a real backend development experience since you will:
- Design the database and model data; in our system this part is crucial due to the amount of information that is stored and processed every day.
- Develop the microservices that live in our ecosystem; we have many microservices exchanging and serving data to the outside world.
As a Senior Back-end Developer, you will own your tasks and decide how to tackle them, working in a great team of experienced developers; we love both working together but at the same time we are happy to valorize experience of each of the developers in order to enrich our applications. It will be your duty to plan and execute your tasks in order to design the architecture of new features, implement them, write the set of tests and deploy in production. We are using bleeding edge technologies in our backend microservices; all the tools and libraries that we import or develop internally are always kept up-to-date and maintained by the developers in order to ensure reliability and performance when building and processing data.
How your day to day will look like:
- Work with a talented team of engineers to design, build and scale back-end services.
- Participate in architectural definitions with a high degree of innovation and creativity.
- Working directly within a multidisciplinary team to help our customers and partners.
Our technology stack:
- Microservices based architecture running on Kubernetes.
- Distributed Systems.
- Java, Node.js / Typescript / Nest.js / React are a nice to have.
- Kafka, Elasticsearch, Mongo, MySQL.
Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Solid professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java.
- You're not afraid of adapting, learning and working with different languages and frameworks.
- Be able to solve programming problems and understanding the impact of the solution from the point of view of algorithmic time and space complexity.
- Having a collaborative work style that includes colleagues in important decisions and leads to shared code ownership.
- You feel comfortable working in English.
