Our Kiwi.com mobile team shares a mission to enable developers to efficiently build features and deploy high-quality mobile applications. We utilise a modern tech stack and internal tools designed to boost team productivity and minimise maintenance efforts. As part of our team, you’ll be shaping the future of our mobile platforms by drafting software design documents and building innovative solutions. What you will do
- You will collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to drive the development and support of new features according to specifications and project architecture.
- Your contributions will include implementation, testing, and bug fixing to maintain high-quality code.
- You will ensure the integrity of the existing codebase by performing occasional refactoring and supporting web engineers in developing product features through webviews.
- By maintaining transparency and supporting Agile methodologies, you will contribute to the overall team productivity and value delivery.
- Ensure system reliability by minimizing technical debt and anticipating issues.
- You will have opportunities to draft software design documents and contribute to architectural discussions that shape the future of our mobile platforms.
What you will need
- You will bring expertise in Kotlin, Compose, and the Android SDK to guide technical decisions and mentor others.
- Your knowledge of Jetpack libraries for modern Android development, such as Compose navigation, ViewModel, and Lifecycle, will be crucial.
- Proficiency in unit and integration testing, as well as continuous integration (CI) practices, will be necessary.
- You will have a strong understanding of web development to support product features through webviews.
- Clear and confident English communication skills to explain technical concepts to all audiences are important.
- Ability to manage your own time and knowing your limits while reporting issues if they arise.
