The Platform Engineering Manager is responsible for optimizing iteration speed, solve common challenges related to the digital platform technical performance and act as glue among multiple teams such as product, development, and engineering Olympics.com.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analysis, definition and supervision of the metrics and data to improve technical performance focusing on the critical KPI defined by business units.
- Defining and implementing the necessary systems and processes to have a 360 vision on the digital properties technical performance by proactively measuring, monitoring, evaluating and identifying technical performance KPIs and metrics to support business to increase engagement and retention.
- Responsible for the evolution and assurance of the QA/UAT strategies to control and improve the technical quality of the Platform, including on-site and off-site commissioning.
- In charge of designing and building internal platforms and tools to optimize project delivery processes, solve common and recurrent problems and educate the team on the best practices.
- Consolidate technical requirements, propose adequate technical solutions and coordinate the global design in cooperation with the system integrator and OCS management.
- Liaise with creative, production and commercial teams to align desired workflows with the technical solutions.
- Ensure global technical project coordination with the various stakeholders.
Experience & Skills
- A range of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role. Preferably someone with previous management experience for minimum of 5 years.
- Experienced in video centric online and/or mobile platforms.
- Must have experience in managing design and installation of platforms in multi-vendors and multi-models (installation, operations, services) environment.
- Proven experience designing solutions using Public Cloud resources.
- Experience on SEO and SEM analytics tools and on coordinating campaign with Google and other search engines.
- Knowledge in software architecture and front end/back-end applications, including common Frontend languages, system-oriented programming languages, primarily using MVC pattern or similar.
- Knowledge in monitoring, analytics and metrics in the above platforms.
- Experience on UAT, writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and end-user documentation (ex. Confluence, WIKI)
- Experience with Scrum or other agile software development practices.
- Systems Integration experience around DRM, CRM, Ad Servers.
- Professional verbal and written English language.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with tight timelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaboratively with other departments.
- Project management certification desired

- Available to travel occasionally (10%), if required by immediate Supervisor.
