As the Level Designer Intern, you will play a key role in implementing assets, optimising logic, and co-designing settings for our games, creating meaningful experiences for our little users.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and keep track for the correct implementation of fun, intuitive and educational game experiences for kids teaching maths, literacy, STEM.
- Develop and evolve in-depth design documentation.
- Work collaboratively with designers, artists, programmers and educators.
- Understand the particularities, motivations and expectations of children, from 2 to 8 years old, regarding games, with the support of our Design and Educational team.
- Design and produce, according to programming and art guidelines, the layout, levels, parameters and features for our games inside the Unity Editor.
- Study, synthesise and communicate technical requirements for assets among the various teams.
- Have an eye for possibilities to reuse existing content to create new experiences that match the curriculum requirements.
Desired experience
- You have a genuine passion for games, especially for kids.
- You are curious and enjoy thinking outside of the box.
- You have good presentational skills and are able to analyse and communicate gameplay ideas.
- You can define and work comfortably with formats, structures and reusable patterns for assets and gameplay mechanics.
- You have strong experience developing games and working within the Unity Editor.
- You have strong notions of art creation and Unity C# scripting, even if you are not an artist or engineer.
English is a must. We are a multicultural team, and we are providing a service in English so, we don't care about certificates, but we expect you to be able to communicate fluently.
