As a Java Technical Leader, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of various platforms and applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define new solutions.
Brief description of the project
You will work for an online gambling company, on the payments side. Mainly, you will be collaborating in integrations with new payment providers, and sometimes addressing technical debt.
The team you will join is fully managed by Parser and consists of a Technical Product Owner (shared with another team), a Technical Lead, two developers and a QA. You will work closely with the client, as all the new designs have to be approved by Lottoland Architects.
Most of the client employees are based in Málaga, but we use English as the main language to communicate with them.
The Impact You'll Make:
- Establish a technical vision with the team.
- Facilitate technical discussions and arbitrate technical decisions.
- Coordinate with architecture on design principles and implementation plans.
- Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across our engineering teams.
- Work with engineers across the company to build new features at a large scale.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Own the overall quality of the team’s technical deliverables.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the Java ecosystem and recommend improvements to our backend infrastructure.

What You'll Bring To Us:
- 10+ years of experience with Java, building backend infrastructure.
- Technical leadership skills and experience leading teams of up to 5 people
- Experience working on RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of OOP and design patterns.
- Experience in building high-performance, scalable services-based platforms.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
