As the Head of QA, you will lead the transformation of the QA department, elevating testing practices to best-in-class standards. This role involves strategic oversight of all QA operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the highest quality of software development and delivery.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a transformative QA vision and strategy, aligning with the company's goals to drive exceptional quality standards.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, tools, and methodologies to maintain efficiency and effectiveness. Drive innovation in testing techniques and tools to accelerate release times.
- Quality Assurance Management: Oversee the design, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans, cases, and automation frameworks. Ensure thorough integration of QA processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team. Provide continuous feedback and professional development opportunities to enhance their skills and performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure cohesive and integrated quality practices.
- Quality Metrics and Reporting: Analyze test results and other data to identify patterns and areas for improvement. Report on QA activities, progress, and quality metrics to senior management.
- Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and manage the auditing of QA systems and processes.
- Innovation and Automation: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge automation and testing tools to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
Experience And Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a QA management role.
- Expertise in programming languages and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JMeter, PyTest).
- Strong background in agile environments and financial application testing (banking, Fintech, insurance).
- Advanced knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, and database management (SQL Server, Postgres, CosmosDB).
- Proficiency in BDD methodologies (Gherkin, Cucumber).
- Academic background in computer science or or a related field.
- English (C1).
- ISTQB Certification or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with advanced automation tools and frameworks
- Strong transformational leadership with a proven ability to inspire and lead teams
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD systems.
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exceptional communication skills for managing stakeholders and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration.
