To help us on this mission, we’re looking for an exceptional Game Animator Intern to join the Game Animation team.
Are you ready for Playlearning?™
As a Game Animator Intern, you'll play a key role in contributing to the visual and playful aspect of Lingokids games, bringing characters, objects and backgrounds to life in a variety of activities with different gameplays.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality character, object and background animations for children’s games, under the supervision of the Lead Animator and/or a Senior Animator.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and solutions, and defining the animations required for the various projects, within the limits of the technical and artistic constraints and the defined game design.
- Rig characters and other elements to prepare them for animation.
- Export animations, test them in Unity, and ensure all animation assets are optimized for performance without compromising quality.
- Receive and implement feedback from senior animators and other team members to improve animation quality.
- Maintain organized source and compiled animation files, as well as clear documentation for animation processes and assets.
Desired experience
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Animation, Game Design, Computer Graphics, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of the principles of animation, including timing, weight, and anticipation.
- A portfolio showcasing animation skills, including character animation.
- Familiarity with 2D animation software such as Adobe Animate, Spine, or Toon Boom.
- Sharp attention to detail, ensuring that animations are polished and free from errors.
- Ability to work in a team environment, taking direction and feedback constructively.
- A genuine passion for video games and a desire to create engaging and immersive animations for players.
- Familiarity with Illustrator and Unity is a plus.
English is a must. We are a multicultural team, and we are providing a service in English so, we don't care about certificates, but we expect you to be able to communicate fluently.
