About our Platform team 

Our Platform team is at the heart of Kiwi.com’s technological infrastructure, providing unified solutions that empower our product teams to focus on what matters most: solving problems for travellers.     What you will do

  • As our Director of Security, you will lead and evolve Kiwi.com’s security strategy, aligning it with the company’s mission, vision, and business objectives.
  • You will oversee and manage a team of 5-8 engineers across application security and information security domains.
  • You will drive the implementation of security measures that protect Kiwi.com’s people, infrastructure, and devices while enabling product teams to focus on solving traveller problems.
  • Leveraging your previous experience, you will develop and maintain a “secure by default” environment, eliminating unnecessary toil for engineering teams.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders across Kiwi.com to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business.
  • You will identify and mitigate security risks, lead incident response efforts, and continuously improve security posture.
  • You will advocate for a culture of security awareness and best practices throughout our business.
  • What you will need

  • You have extensive experience in information security management roles, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • You offer a strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS).
  • You bring a proven track record of building and leading high-performing security teams.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication skills in English with the ability to translate complex security concepts for various audiences.
  • You are fluent in strategic thinking and the ability to align security initiatives with business goals.
  • Your previous experience with cloud security, application security, and enterprise security architecture is essential for this role.
  • You are familiar with agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
