About you
In line with M47’s exciting growth, we are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with a DevOps mindset to join our team. We are currently supporting one of the biggest players in the tech ecosystem in their efforts to build and improve their ML-led voice assistant software, used by millions world-wide. In this project you'll play a crucial role in building internal tools to support a large team of over 100 multi-faceted professionals such as QAs and Software Developers, amongst others, having a direct impact in the enhancement and development of these tools to improve efficiency and productivity in a large organization.
About your day-to-day:
- Design, build, and maintain APIs and services
- Work with Cloud-based solutions and microservices architecture
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
- Optimize applications for speed and scalability
- Monitor system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies

What you'll need:
- 4+ years of relevant working experience as Backend Software Engineer, and at least 1-2 years working in Cloud environments (GoogleCloud, AWS, Azure).
- Master at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java or Ruby. Additional languages are a plus.
- Proficient database management (SQL, NoSQL).
- Knowledge of server-side frameworks like Django or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with microservice architecture and integrating Kubernetes.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, NewRelic or Datadog.
- Superb problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- BSc or MSc in Comptuer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
What's nice to have:
- Experience with Systems Virtualization
- IaC
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Understanding of technical feasibility of UI/UX desings
- Knowledge on cybersecurity
- Experience with ML frameworks for DevOps
Special requirement
For this position you must be a holder of a valid working permit for Spain (or EU passport) and be available to work full-time onsite.
