At TRIBBU, we're redefining how people move around cities. We connect drivers and passengers to share daily rides, making urban mobility more sustainable, efficient, and human.
After more than 6 years as a B2B platform, we've recently opened to the general public⦠and the growth has been explosive. In just a few months, we've multiplied our active users by 30, reaching over 1 million shared rides.
This growth comes with exciting technical challenges: real-time tracking, matching algorithms, payment optimization, and system scalability at scale.
You'll join a small but highly talented tech team (<15 engineers) within a ~50-person company where every decision has real impact.
π― About the role
We're looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure that powers TRIBBU.
This isn't a ticket-crunching ops role. You'll have real ownership over how we build, deploy, and run our systems β shaping CI/CD practices, hardening our GCP infrastructure, improving observability, and being a key pillar of our on-call culture.
You'll work closely with our Backend (PHP/Laravel), Android, and iOS engineers to raise the bar on developer experience, reliability, and security across the stack.
𧩠Responsibilities
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including ephemeral environments per pull request so engineers can test in isolation
Own and improve our GCP infrastructure (Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, GKE, networking, IAM)
Define and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and the PHP/Laravel backend
Be a key contributor to our on-call program: on-call rotations, runbooks, alerting rules (Grafana IRM), and post-mortem culture
Improve observability across the platform (metrics, logs, traces β Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry)
Identify and eliminate reliability and performance bottlenecks before they become incidents
Collaborate with engineers to make infrastructure decisions that scale with our growth
β
Requirements
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
Solid hands-on experience with GCP (or equivalent cloud: AWS/Azure with willingness to ramp up on GCP)
Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / GKE)
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
Knowledge of security fundamentals: secrets management, IAM, network policies, vulnerability scanning
Experience contributing to on-call programs: alerting, incident response, runbooks, post-mortems
Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive improvements without being asked
You are already using AI for some of your workflows
β Nice to have
Experience securing or auditing PHP / Laravel applications
Familiarity with MySQL performance and replication (e.g., GCP Cloud SQL)
Experience with ephemeral / preview environments per pull request
Contributions to Open Source projects
Experience at a high-growth B2C startup
