Job Description

As part of our growth strategy, we are building a multi-disciplinary UX team consisting of Designers, Researchers, and Copywriters. We’re looking for a highly creative and motivated UX Designer to join our UX Team. As a UX Designer at FCM Digital, you will create meaningful and memorable experiences that delight our customers and drive customer and company objectives. The ideal candidate will be an advocate for the user while balancing the needs of all stakeholders through every stage of the design process.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging, easy-to-use mobile and responsive web design solutions that address business and user needs.
  • Produce concept models, journey maps, interaction flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mock-ups.
  • Shaping and driving User Experience in the field of your responsibility.
  • Produce pixel-perfect production assets and design specifications and work with engineers to implement design solutions.
  • Present your design work to peers and partners with exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills. Be a leader both inside the Product Design group as well as within a product team.
  • Regularly look for insights by analysing metrics and qualitative feedback (NPS surveys, existing customer interviews...).
  • Partner with Product Managers, Front End Engineering, and other colleagues during the shaping phase of all new features and products.
  • Share ideas with the Product Design Team to get feedback and improve the quality of your deliverables.
  • Leverage research insights (both qualitative and quantitative), trends, and best practices to recommend and influence the product experience. Connect design decisions to desired business goals and outcomes.
  • Participate in user research activities and usability studies to be able to iterate design solutions based on customer data.
  • Understand our brands, our aesthetic, and our differentiators - become a brand steward in everything you contribute.
  • Help the Product Design team grow and maintain our Design System.
  • Drive Product Design Vision in alignment with product roadmaps.
  • Be an evangelist for customer-centric product design.
  • Prepare presentations/materials that help non-tech stakeholders (executives, sales, marketing...) understand concepts and proposed solutions.

     

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in UX Design or Product Design for digital applications (desktop, web, or mobile).
  • A solid and compelling digital portfolio showing working examples of well-executed UX processes and designs that display a thorough understanding of UX, interaction design, and interface design principles.
  • Experience in utilizing and maintaining Design Systems is highly valued for this role, as the UX Designer will be involved in contributing to the development and application of Design Systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in user experiences across various platforms.
  • The UX Designer would need to have a fundamental understanding of using both quantitative and qualitative data and analytics to inform design decisions and develop user-centered solutions aligned with business goals. They would collaborate with data analysts and product managers to ensure that project success is measurable and based on both user insights and quantifiable results.
  • Excellent visual design skills, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on pixel-perfect designs.
  • Solid knowledge of Figma either for design or prototyping.
  • Experience with Mobile design (IOS & Android)
  • Strong organizational skills and documenting work and user flows.
  • Demonstrated experience in doing design research activities or collaborating with a UX research team.
  • Strong background in user-centred design and understanding of complex businesses, preferably with travel industry experience.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to speak to and defend your decision-making yet be able to have open, direct, and respectful conversations to ensure we reach the best possible design solutions as a team.
  • A strong user empathy and understanding of human psychology, emotional and persuasive design, and usability principles.
  • Sense of ownership in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
  • English speaker with good written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and sense of humour.
