Job Description

As a Technical Writer in our Academy team, you will play a huge role in creating and maintaining our product documentation. You will be a core part of the Documentation team, working closely with product engineering, installations, after-sales, customer service, and training teams to create documentation that not only facilitates the user but enables them to fully utilize all the qualities, features, and functionalities of our products and accessories.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product managers, product owners, and service engineers to create and maintain world-class documentation, including installation guides and service manuals for our products.
  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, terminology, correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Work with Graphic Designers to create the product assistance documentation
  • Thoroughly Proof-read and edited content for usability and readability
  • Gather customer feedback on the documentation to improve the usability
  • Maintain a documentation repository and an up-to-date glossary
  • Help in creating content for product descriptions for the Academy Web page
  • Work with Language Service Providers to get the content translated.
  • Review the translated content as and when required
  • Produce maps and visualizations of the site to help staff understand the structure and function of the website
  • Write and edit articles and FAQs

Requirements

  • Experience in owning an end-to-end documentation creation process.
  • Must have experience and demonstrated ability to work with outside vendors and diverse teams of creative and technical experts
  • Demonstrated ability to work tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
  • Attention to detail with an excellent ability to express complex technical information clearly and precisely.
  • Flexibility and readiness to communicate and collaborate with other team members.
  • Native or native-level English speaker.
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Knowledge of HTML and WordPress
  • Excellent organizational skills, including time management, ability to multitask, and ability to meet deadlines

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of any translation management system is a plus.
  • Knowledge of media production, and dissemination techniques and methods.
  • Ability to organize and write step-by-step instructions in clear and concise English.
  • Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with SEO
  • Demonstrated ability to work tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
  • Experience with electrical engineering.
