Olympic Channel Services is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Systems team. We are looking for somebody who has passion for scripting, coding, automation and doing everything as code.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute positively to the technical design of our Infrastructure. Identifying areas of improvement, suggesting and designing solutionsCombine open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will have an impact on the businessWork in a heterogeneous environment containing diverse operating systems and applications, and make them work well togetherApply modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code, Linux container orchestrationPropose automation improvements based on business requirements or current trends in technologyAct as mentor to junior team members and increase knowledge sharing and collaboration skills improvementsJOB QUALIFICATIONS
Strong knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols and OSI model
Knowledge and understanding of VPN, IPsec, DHCP, DNS, HTTP/sExpertise troubleshooting medium to large Network Environments and familiarity with packet sniffers: Wireshark, Tcpdump or Network Monitor/Message AnalyzerExperience with Infrastructure / Network Administration / Virtualization / Linux and Windows ServersExperience with containerization technologies like Docker and KubernetesExperience working with Public cloud environments (Amazon AWS, Alibaba Cloud)Experience in monitoring tasks and tooling supporting SNMP, SYSLOG, such as Zabbix, ELK stack, Grafana, DatadogExperience in configuration and maintenance of applications such as NGINX, Apache, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NFS, SSHExcellent level of communication in EnglishKnowledge of a modern programming language such as Python3, JavaScript/TypeScrypt, Golang, Java, and/or scripting, Ansible, etcParticipate in 24x7x365 on-call rotationWorkplace & Environment
