The Ads Experience team mission is bringing our Eventbrite Ads platform to our most valuable consumer surfaces. Our Ads platform helps bring our substantial consumer demand to our creators' events. As an Engineering Manager, you will inspire, mentor, and develop the team that builds this experience and make a great impact on our business.


THE ROLE

As an Engineering Manager at Eventbrite, you will have the opportunity to drive impact through ownership of challenging and impactful parts of our platform. THE TEAM

The Ads Experience team is focused on helping our consumers find the right promoted events within the different consumer facing channels at Eventbrite. We work closely with our consumer and creator Product teams to improve the promotion of events in various surfaces including our home page, search, native apps, and newsletter. This includes running UI experiments and supporting several key backend services. The team is composed of front-end engineers, backend engineers, a product manager, a designer, and an engineering manager as well as horizontal support from data analytics, content design, and research.


The Britelings on our team value working together in small teams to solve big problems, supporting an active culture of mentorship and inclusion, and pushing themselves to learn new things daily. Pair programming, weekly demos, tech talks, and hackathons are at the core of how we’ve built our team and product. We believe in engaging with the community, regularly hosting free events with some of the top technical speakers, and actively contributing to open source software. Our technology spans across technology domains like web, mobile, API, big data, machine learning, and search.


THE SKILL SET

  • At least one year experience responsible for multiple direct reports in the engineering function
  • Strong technical background (3+ years) building web products and ability to contribute to design and architectural discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and lead high-functioning, diverse technical teams through coaching, training, and career development aligned with their goals.
  • Experience working with a highly collaborative environment, driving a team who ships code to production often
  • Experience using scrum or agile development methodologies to execute against roadmap initiatives
  • Develop a sustainable, healthy work environment focused on creative problem solving and innovation
  • Experience with fundamental cloud technologies (preferably within AWS) and the DevOps approach to autonomous team ownership of mission critical infrastructure

  • Experience leading completely remote and distributed engineering teams, with global cross-team collaboration.
