Bamboo Energy is a cleantech startup born in Barcelona four years ago. We offer a Software-as-a- Service (SaaS) cloud platform to optimize energy consumption, enabling consumers to reduce their electricity bills and gain additional revenue while supporting the integration of renewables into the energy system. As a Softare Engineer with DevOps mindset, you will play a pivotal role in designing, automating, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure. You will work on 24/7 scalable systems, optimize deployment pipelines, and ensure high availability and performance. Your contributions will empower our platform to support a sustainable and renewable-powered energy system.
WHAT WILL YOU DO AT BAMBOO?
- Design and lead the implementation of scalable, high-quality services for our cloud platform, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Develop and enhance new features for existing services in Python, maintaining high-quality standards throughout the process.
- Optimize service efficiency and scalability by leveraging automation, performance tuning, and architectural improvements.
- Continuously improve resource usage to enhance the efficiency, speed, and costeffectiveness of the platform.
- Implement robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and rapid deployment cycles for new features and updates.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?
Essential:
- 3+ years of experience as a Backend programmer in at least two medium sized/big projects.
- 3+ years of Python experience.
- Proficiency in Linux and macOS operating systems, with practical experience in development or deployment environments.
Non required, but valuable:
- Experience in Cloud Computing Services in a complex, medium-sized/big project in production.
- Experience with CI/CD software in a medium-sized/big project.
- Experience in the energy industry.
Languages:
- Spanish.
- English for technical purposes
And some soft skills:
- Eager to explore the unknown.
- Feels comfortable discussing technical implementations of new services.
