Role purpose:

You will be a member of the Unified Communication & Connectivity Service Assurance DevOps Squad. This is an excellent opportunity to join an agile technical team, working with some of the best and brightest engineers, while also developing your skills and furthering your career within a DevOps Squad.
As part of the Service Assurance DevOps Squad, you will contribute to the dev Team by delivering stories and Features following the Release Train Strategic Priorities.
Every day you will be learning something new from your peers and your own experiments during the innovation cycles of the Programme Increments.  You will have exposure to Vodafone Group Operations & Vodafone Business engineering and product teams, where you will not only learn about software and assurance engineering, you will also learn about how our Global Vodafone Business Unified Communications and Connectivity service proposition works. You will also have an impact on the development of APIs, Low-level designs, Software scripts and Architecture for all UCC Application assurance platforms.
As a DevOps Engineer, your mission will be to collaborate in the end-to-end of DevOps projects, contributing with a full view over architecture, design, development, deployment of the solutions, system integration, automation, execution and support.


The role of Software Engineer has the following responsibilities:

  • Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype and build new technology and evaluate technical feasibility
  • Work in an Agile (Scrum) environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules
  • Perform development and maintenance of key system features
  • Collaborating with Product Owner to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Developing and committing to team PI objectives and iteration goals
  • Using design and coding best practice to build high-quality components and solutions
  • Participate in the entire UCC Assurance platform software lifecycle including but not limited to requirements gathering, prototyping, design, implementation, testing, release, documentation, and support maintenance.

 

What you bring?

Knowledge and Experience working with some of the following technologies:
•    Knowledge in Scripting with Python (automations scripts, API interactions)
•    Open Observability& Monitoring Platform ( Grafana, ElasticSearch & Kibana, Prometheus)
•    Github (Organisations, repositories, Webhooks, Ops)


Well received:
•    Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or telecommunications.
