Who you are
We are looking for an exceptional geospatial software developer with a passion for geospatial data of global size with a costumer product mindset to guide the team in geospatial development efforts towards successful project delivery. As a GIS expert, you will support the team in creating the technical architecture for our data storage, GIS and offering solutions.
We are looking for Geospatial Software Engineer with a few years of professional software development experience; coupled with hands on experience working in a Geospatial environment.

Requirements
Your Experience & Impact
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience (i.e. a daily coder).
- 3+ years of GIS experience
- Advanced programming skills (Python preferred, but many others will do like Scala, Javascript, or others). Must be able to find the "right tool" for the job.
- Experience in geospatial indexing, data offering, stac catalog
- Experience developing unit, integration and regression testing.
- Experience working in the cloud environment (we are Azure, but any cloud env will do)
- Extra points for experience/knowledge in statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Passionate about data, analytics, and automation.
As Mitiga is a scaleup, some extra non-core requirements will make you thrive in this role:
- Ability to deals well with ambiguity.
- Takes time to understand the tasks assigned and ask appropriate questions but also be able to act independently.
- Ability to take ownership of and work independently to manage projects through to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills including explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in English is a must.
