In this role you will:
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Tech team in Spain. Your daily work will primarily focus on the development of automated testing procedures for our microservices, APIs, and customer-facing web and mobile applications. Our teams write quality code using TDD and Unit Testing. We use GitHub, GitHub Actions, and a full CI/CD pipeline. You will work side by side with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team distributed among our different offices around Europe.
Your daily work will primarily focus on the development of automated testing procedures for our frontend and backend applications. We work using best practices (Testing, Code Review…) in an environment of agile methodologies. You will work side by side with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team distributed among our different offices around Europe.
What your responsibilities will be:
Understanding product and technical priorities.
Independently scoping and implementing Test automation code.
Contributing to project estimation tasks and committing to a realistic amount of work.
Making well-reasoned design decisions, identifying potential issues, trade-offs, risks, and an appropriate level of abstraction.
Writing meaningful code reviews.
Mentoring junior and mentee engineers within your squad.
Contributing to a security-first mindset throughout your squad, always looking for and avoiding vulnerabilities.
What you bring:
Hands-on experience with Java, Javascript, or TypeScript. We believe it takes about 2 years of hands-on experience in order to be comfortable at this level, but if you have less experience than that we welcome you to apply.
Hands-on experience creating Test automation code for client/server applications.
Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs.
A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow with us.
Experience working with git is a plus.
Working knowledge of English is required; proficiency in Spanish or German is a plus.
