The Challenge
Join Wallapop’s Online Marketing dynamic team as an SEO Specialist, driving organic growth and ensuring our marketplace excels in search visibility. Your mission? Optimize our site for both users and search engines, leveraging cutting-edge SEO techniques to boost performance and directly impact Wallapop’s key business metrics.
What You Will Do
- Conduct comprehensive site audits, identifying and resolving crawling and indexing issues.
- Analyze and propose solutions related to technical SEO: web architecture, Core web vitals, structured data, crawl budget, log analysis, etc.
- Implement internal website optimizations, including content, meta tags and internal link structure.
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization.
- Research and analyze competitor websites and activities to identify opportunities and gaps in the market.
- Keep up to date with the latest SEO trends, E-A-T best practices and algorithms updates in order to be able to recommend new SEO tactics and apply changes related to search engine latest updates.
- Work alongside Product and Tech teams to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented.
- Deliver regular reports on SEO progress, insights, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, managing large international websites with significant organic traffic.
- Strong expertise in technical SEO, including site audits, Core Web Vitals, and crawling/indexing optimizations.
- Proficiency in tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and others.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
- High level of initiative and autonomy, with a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and project management.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience presenting strategies and results to stakeholders.
- Experience in reporting to stakeholders, communicating recommendations, and justifying SEO strategies.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
Bonus: Familiarity with marketplaces, PPC strategies, Python/SQL for data analysis, and feed management. Certifications in Google Analytics or SEO are a plus as well as experience with prompts for SEO.
Do note that all our jobs are đź“Ť Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self-organizes to decide on cadence and in-person/remote rituals.

What does the hiring process look like? **Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**
Intro Call - run by talent acquisition. It will take 45 minutes and will focus on giving you more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience and expectations.
Expertise interview - run by the hiring team, you will be asked to prepare a small exercise at home so you can go over it with the hiring manager and discuss hard skills more in detail. This usually takes up to 60 minutes.
Stakeholder interview - run by relevant stakeholders. The focus will be on assessing your ability to apply your skill set collaborating with other functions to the Wallapop context. This usually takes 60 minutes.
Culture Add - run by talent acquisition and/or hiring manager. We will focus on gaining insights and understanding of how you operate in the workplace and your fit to our values. This usually takes 60 minutes.
Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
