Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

As a Technical Product Manager within our Digital Customer Experience division, you will be embedded within our Engineering group working on the data pipelines which make our products successful. Connectivity to multiple third party systems is at the core of our product. Integrating with those systems in an elegant, thoughtful manner is key to our ability to scale the platform without compromising reliability.

You should have direct experience in building or integrating with a PSS (Sabre or Amadeus). You may come from a product management background, or be an engineer looking to branch out into product development. This role will ask you to develop in depth knowledge of systems you’re not yet familiar with via documentation and discovery with other technical teams, both internally and with our client partners, so you should be comfortable with both forms of engagement.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)

  • Define the methods and systems used for integrating with and monitoring third party systems.
  • Interface with business facing Product Managers to understand the commercial needs of our clients and translate them into technical requirements for the engineering team you are partnered with.
  • Produce high quality technical and non-technical documentation for internal and external audiences.
  • Act as the crucial liaison between technical teams and business partners, adeptly converting business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)

  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to engage in intricate technical discussions in both languages.
  • 8+ years of product management or engineering in a software technology related field with at least 5 years of experience in directly related to airline systems (PSS, OOMS, PSP, LMS, DCS and / or others)
  • Demonstrated experience with high-stakes enterprise software projects.
  • While not required to be an engineer or UX designer, a fullstack understanding of essential technologies from databases to APIs and UX design is expected.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and competing demands.
  • Proficient in crafting roadmaps and executing projects with teams that follow agile development practices.
  • Autonomous initiative-taker with a history of launching new projects and resolving complex issues through detailed analysis and action.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, enabling effective collaboration across functions through power of influence and authority of experience.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues for diverse groups.
