At N26, our Infrastructure Security team is on a mission to detect and remediate IT and cloud infrastructure security threats. We're dedicated to providing efficient and effective services that empower our N26 tech teams to thrive.
In this role, you will:
- Shape the Future: Own and drive the roadmap for our IT Infrastructure Security function, working closely with the Tech Lead and Engineering Manager.
- Innovate: Lead initiatives, create solutions, establish processes, and develop frameworks to proactively identify and mitigate security threats within our Corporate IT landscape, ultimately boosting our security maturity.
- Stay Ahead: Stay on the cutting edge of cybersecurity by conducting regular research to detect new attack vectors.
- Take Charge: Define and manage our pentesting schedule, scope, and scenarios.
- Collaborate: Conduct Threat Modeling Sessions, assess and classify security threats, and collaborate with stakeholders to define threat mitigation solutions.
- Empower: Provide security training and conduct tabletop exercises with our Corporate IT teams and N26 employees.
- Deliver Excellence: Offer top-tier support to our main stakeholders through our support portal.
- Lead the Charge: Be part of our security incident response on-call rotation (voluntary) and take the lead in managing security incidents.
What you need to be successful:
Knowledge & Engineering practices
- Deep Expertise: A profound understanding and advanced experience in securing N26 endpoint devices, email security, DLP, Identity and Access Management, and corporate critical applications.
- Security Savvy: In-depth knowledge of common security frameworks and tactics, including STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK®, and OWASP.
- Ethical Hacker: Experience with ethical hacking and penetration test methodologies.
- Automation Pro: Proficiency in using CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Terraform) for implementing automated security testing and change management.
- Tool Mastery: Experience in deploying and customizing security tools to address threats and reduce risk.
- Scripting Wizardry: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or GO for scripting and automation.
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management.
- Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and segments to achieve complex objectives.

- Educational Background: A Master's degree in cybersecurity or a related field or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with an advanced security certification.
