The position is a hands-on DBA role, experienced in MongoDB clusters, ideally Atlas, with a primary focus on managing and supporting the databases across the company based on cloud infrastructure.
We are looking for an MongoDB expert, willing to contribute to our change of paradigm to no-SQL environment for our product portfolio.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create, Manage, Monitor, and Maintain MongoDB Atlas clusters.
- Assist in administering, monitoring, and maintaining availability and scalability requirements of databases, executing routine DBA tasks such as: database-related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space, and other resource contention issues such as Operation Execution times, Replication lag, load balancing of data and queries and identify the stress areas.
- Plan and support database backup/recovery and disaster recovery policy of databases in high availability environment.
- Execute performance analysis and database tuning to ensure high scalability.
- Work with development teams to design and implement optimized databases.
- Maintain database collections and related data on MongoDB Atlas.
- Be able to trace the stress areas back to the queries causing them, pro-actively profile such queries and suggest improvements.
- Good experience on advanced queries, query conditionals and aggregation framework.
Experience & qualifications:
- Experience with MongoDB (candidates with just experiece in relational DDBB are not elegible for this role).
- Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous messaging.
- Degree in Computer science, Information Systems, or related field required.
- Excellent organization, time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills specially in production environments.
- Eagerness to learn new skills, adapt to continuously changing technology and take ownership.
Must-have:
- At least 2 years of experience working with MongoDB, preferably Atlas in a 24x7 production environment.
- Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking/deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, data replication issues etc. in production environment.
- At least 2 years working with any cloud environment (ej: Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Spanish Native (preferably)
- English C1 (must)
