Our new cross-functional product squad is dedicated to enhancing the experience for both learners and tutors. We support our tutors in delivering exceptional tutoring, which boosts student retention and overall learning value. At the same time, we empower learners to continue their education beyond scheduled lessons, integrating lesson content into self-learning and keeping tutors informed about student progress.

Your primary responsibility will involve assisting product managers in their decision-making process on how to integrate AI into the company to improve the learning and tutoring experiences offered by Preply.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Innovate with AI: Stay at the forefront of AI trends and help shape the future of AI-assisted tutoring and learning. Collaborate with a diverse team to develop creative solutions.
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze customer behavior and product usage, focusing on the use of AI. Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Creative Solutions: Work with user research and product design to identify innovative use cases for AI-generated data, enhancing the learning experience for everyone.
  • Strategic Planning: Organize and prioritize tasks with stakeholders for both tactical and strategic projects. Participate in defining objectives and key results (OKRs) alongside your product manager.
  • Experiment & Measure: Quantify the impact of new product features and initiatives to identify the most significant growth opportunities and help prioritize our roadmap.
  • Visualization & Metrics: Create user-friendly dashboards and visualizations to highlight trends and user behavior. Design tracking events, define engagement metrics and key performance indicators.
  • LLMs and Gen-AI: Evaluate the quality of technical solutions in the area of large language models and generative AI.
  • Mentorship: Share your expertise and support the growth of data scientists within your team.

What you need to succeed:

  • A genuine interest in how AI can transform education.
  • Experience in data analytics working with product teams, experimenting and uncovering opportunities for product optimization.
  • Ability to apply statistical techniques to derive meaningful insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with concepts such as conversion, LTV, cohort analysis, retention, etc.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Curious and creative mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving, engaging in the formation and evaluation of new hypotheses.
  • Interest in the bigger picture, feeling excited to impact the product roadmap and strategy.
  • Ability to craft compelling stories with data and communicate complex insights in a clear and engaging way, driving change among diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with product analytics tools (e.g. MixPanel, Amplitude, Heap)
  • Background in Marketplaces or digital businesses (B2B, B2C, B2B2C).
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques, including LLMs and generative AI.
  • Experience with recommender systems.
  • Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or coaching others.
