About the role
As our Data Scientist, you will be to develop key models for our price advisor product. Empowering our hoteliers to make the best decisions to optimize RevPar and inform them on performance / market positioning.
In addition, the role will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of business challenges, from forecasting churn to customer lifetime value predictions.
Your missions
- Develop, test and productionize predictive algorithms by using state of the art machine learning algorithms and statistical model.
- Contribute to one or more of the following areas: time series analysis & forecasting, A/B testing, customer analytics, personalisation and churn prediction
- Generate and execute on ideas for exploratory analysis to shape future projects and provide recommendations for action.
- Continuously propose strategic changes and optimizations to the way we track, maintain and use data working closely with data engineering
- Create dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results and monitor key metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, marketing amongst others; identify use cases for data science applications.
Your profile
- MSc in a scientific discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, or Statistics.
- Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in the following areas: forecasting, traditional machine learning, reinforcement learning, statistical inference, time series analysis, mathematical optimisation.
- Extensive experience with the end-to-end predictive/prescriptive model development cycle, from problem definition to production alization and maintenance
- Strong data modeling and SQL skills.
- Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi) and cloud infrastructures (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Solid software engineering skills, and extensive experience using the Python ML and DS ecosystem.
- Working knowledge of agile development.
- Change management skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong presentation skills in communicating with experts and novices.
- Ability to manage a team is desirable.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
