Job Description

Hello! I am a member of loyalty development team in Zooplus. We are looking for a QA Engineer to complete our team in Madrid. Our team is responsible for the Loyalty products of our company and nowadays is a key part of company success, that is why we need to reinforce our team with a new member.

I can tell you some of the main things that make me feel good and would be interesting for you.


Our environment:

  • In our team we are currently 4 developers
  • Scrum is our way of work, and we feel like agile environment it is not only inside the team, our managers also believe on it and the organization is already aligned to it too
  • The environment is very friendly and sometimes we do some activities together after work also of course with other teams. Also, there is no strict dress code here so you can come with a simple T-shirt
  • We are used to do pair programming, learning from each others, this way we can share knowledge between us and of course from newcomers like you
  • The daily tasks are related to develop new features, maintain team products and improve all the infrastructure we need for it, so we also would like to have a colleague that likes to be cross-functional
  • We like to learn and deliver good quality products and for that we think that continuous deliveryclean code and DevOps mindset it is the best way to do it
  • English is the official language of the company, we have mates from other countries inside our teams sometimes or we call to synchronize with other teams located in Krakow or Munich. Being able to communicate in English is a must.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of BDD and Specification by Example techniques, tools and methods (Cucumber, Gherkin,...)
  • Ability to create testing data-sets and handle the data-set life cycle (SQL or other query languages for non relational databases)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, highly motivated and proactive
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Experience with regression, functional and exploratory testing; managing software test automation
  • Experience in a web environment – ecommerce preferred
  • Knowledge of Scala and Java
  • Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies
  • Software development experience (with at least two years focused on testing)
  • Agile tester certification would be an advantage
  • English language skills at working level is required
