Bumble is looking for an outstanding, technically-minded Product Manager to join our team, working on the recommender platform, which serves profiles to our users across multiple interfaces within Bumble and Badoo apps. This role will be based in London, reporting to the People Recommendations Product Lead.
Badoo and Bumble are non-transactional two-sided marketplaces, where each user is part of supply and demand at the same time. The focus of this PM role is to improve our recommender platform’s ability to manage activity distribution on the granular market level, to ensure that both user and business goals are met within each interface where people search for people.
You’ll dive deep into understanding complex network effects in the ecosystem to inform the strategy for your team.

Be responsible for defining and executing strategy for the marketplace component of the recommender based on the wider people recommendations vision
Collaborate directly with the data science & analytics team on identifying research and experimentation strategies
Work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, analytics and acquisition teams to identify opportunities to improve marketplace performance
Understand ecosystem dynamics through applied research and fast paced experimentation
Act as a knowledge centre of recommendations and best practices across Bumble; collaborate with adjacent teams on broader product innovations
Define and analyse metrics that inform the success of your product area
Ensure that every change is well documented and understood by the team
EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Proven experience with large scale consumer facing marketplace products
5+ years of product management experience within an in-house development environment
Strong knowledge of appropriate product performance metrics and a background in data-driven decision making
Hands-on experience in balancing long term innovation and short term improvements
Demonstrable interest and understanding of the social discovery/dating industry
A sound grasp of experimentation approaches suitable for marketplaces with network effects
Economics background is a strong plus
