Job Description

WebCargo digitizes global freight sales for over 3,500 of the world’s largest logistics providers and carriers. Or, in plain English, we help move the world, offering incredible technology that powers almost a third of the global air cargo market, helping logistics players around the world digitize how they price, book and sell freight..

We’re not alone either.

WebCargo is a proud part of the Freightos Group, a logistics technology company that aims to make global trade frictionless. We work with the some of the largest companies in the world, are regularly featured in top-tier publications, make our families proud and are traded on the Nasdaq (CRGO)

Turns out it’s kind of a big deal. As the leading global freight booking platform for a massive industry (the phone or computer you’re reading this on was, after all shipped), we’ve been crushing it with double-digit growth, year after year.

About the position:

We’re hiring a product manager associate whiz, to help us whip complicated systems into shape with a killer cocktail of technical know-how, incredible coordination skills, and what can only be called True Grit. Our customers love how fast we’re evolving freight and you’ll help the product team deliver. And, as you can imagine, delivering on time is kind of a big deal for a freight tech company.

Responsibilities:

  • You’re curious, motivated, and love to delight customers, ideally through awesome products but knock-knock jokes work too. You actually get our users, with finely honed empathy and a drive to identify and eliminate problems like a Human Hoover. Social skills matter - you aren’t afraid to *gasp* talk on the phone with a user to better understand their needs.
  • A conductor without a symphony is sad. You’ll drive collaboration across multiple disciplines - data, marketing, operations, customers and sales. And people are passionate here; you help give everyone a voice.
  • You once wrote an ode to the clarity of Lego instructions. You can take high-level product requirements and spit out spectacular specs in your sleep, clarified with crystal-clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and data requirements.
  • Anyone can drop a spec in a mailbox and wait for product delivery. No, you work closely with the R&D team to ensure proper hand-off, answer questions along the way, and guide the delivery of a quality product. On-time. Always on time.
  • No one likes a surprise feature release. You’ll coordinate releases with internal teams to when we launch, including training and setback notifications (hopefully fewer of these).
  • Prioritization is your middle name (or you are willing to legally change yours). You can evaluate and communicate trade-offs when having to make difficult choices.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • You’ve done this before. Really well. For at least two years as Product, Project, or Program Manager.
  • <no joke>This is a technical position. A background in technology and working with development teams is required. You take pride in technical solution delivery.</no joke>
  • As Lao Tzu says, “Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes”. You love change and working in a fast-paced startup environment keeps you excited.
  • You talk reaaal good, with excellent interpersonal & communication skills. And you can write project prose that transforms complex ideas into executable R&D tasks.
  • You have the ability to present complex technical information clearly to varying audiences. And you know how to listen!
  • High-level English skills: reading, speaking, and writing skills.
  • There may be some occasional travels.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience working with Agile methodologies: Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data for decision making.
  • Being able to write technical PRD.
  • Experience with API’s, SYNC.
  • Have experience working with remote teams? Even better.

Why is WebCargo where you want to work?

  • Location: Barcelona, Spain… but only some of the time. We’re on an employee-friendly hybrid model.
  • We believe that employees who get better make us all better. We strive for professional development and continuous learning. Apart from career support and guidance, you’ll be entitled to get an annual training budget for personal and professional development. No, you can’t use it on cool socks. But most other things go.
  • Participation in the Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) of the Freightos Group.
  • Ticket restaurant, Private Health Insurance and Flexible remuneration options for nursery, training and transport.
  • Full-time position. Flexible schedule & intensive working hours on Fridays so that we have a long weekend :)
  • Multicultural and open environment, full of great people from multiple countries. Over twenty languages but all aligned on make global freight work better.
  • Great office in Torre Glories with amazing views, located in the center of the technology HUB in Barcelona.

WebCargo, a Freightos Group company, is an equal opportunities employer and we make every effort to ensure that all potential employees are treated fairly and equally.
