The Challenge
Wallapop is continuing its growth and expanding its services and footprint, taking the product across European countries and winning new markets. In the last 2 years, we have grown from 5 to 11 product teams, expanding our footprint from one country to three countries and we don't stop to keep increasing our product portfolio and teams.
Currently, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to bring your cross-functional Topic Team to the next level, working towards the achievement of the objectives and beyond, partnering closely with other areas such as Development, Business, Operations and Marketing. You must be comfortable with being both strategic and hands-on, with a customer-centric mindset you will find the balance to further scale our product and maximize the potential value we can deliver to our Wallapop users and organization.
What You Will Do
- Define and develop the strategy and tactics for the topic team's solution portfolio and ensure alignment with all relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Own the product vision and maintain a prioritized feature backlog based on customer needs, and business value, aligned with the business strategy and resource capacity.
- Translate the strategy into a clear product roadmap (how to achieve it, quarterly) and backlog initiatives into tasks, writing and discussing product requirements, and coordinating sprint cycles.
- Lead the team through the ideation, experimentation, validation, development and launch of products according to Wallapop workflow.
- Coordinate product initiatives as needed across tribes and functions.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and analysts, and maintain a close relationship with all key stakeholders, both from the business and other product teams.
- Measure and report the team’s progress/impact transparently and effectively.
- Define key success metrics, tracking and improving upon them.
- Analyze, understand and share learnings from experimentation to build a strong knowledge base of the product.
- Take data-based decisions for product development by collaborating on user tests and digging into analytic tools.
- Ensure that user insights are being brought to the team and assessed to guide the product initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Well-grounded long-term experience working with web/app-based companies in a product role.
- Familiarity with A/B testing or another multivariate testing.
- Experience working with agile methodology.
- User-focused individual who keeps the customer at the heart of everything we do.
- A go-getter who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and dives into a project to achieve success by problem-solving.
- Agile and innovative with the tenacity to thrive in a constantly changing environment.
- Analytical mindset, proactive, self-motivated and results driven.
- Passion for product development and constantly looking for ways to improve it.
- Senstitivity to the Wallapop sustainability purpose.
- High level of English is a must. Spanish is a plus.
- Experience in marketplace/ e-commerce industries is a plus.
Do note that all our jobs are Barcelona based. We work in a mostly remote capacity offering great flexibility to our employees, but we believe in the power of getting together regularly in our office. As a first iteration, we expect a 4+ day/month office attendance for which the specifics are decided on a team level.

What does the hiring process for this position look like? **Please, note that all interviews take place remotely over hangouts.**
Intro Call - ran by talent acquisition. It will take 30-45 minutes and will focus on giving you more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience and expectations.
Expertise interview - ran by the hiring team, focusing on assessing functional competencies and domaine knowledge required for the role. To assess this you will hold a case study presentation of 15-20 minutes and afterwards jump into the Q&A session prepared by the team. This usually takes 60 minutes.
Stakeholder interview - ran by the hiring team and relevant stakeholders across other functions. The team will go through specific questions to focus on assessing your ability to apply your skillset to the Wallapop context collaborating with different areas. This takes 60 minutes.
Competency Interview - ran by talent acquisition and hiring manager. We will focus on gaining insights and understanding of how you operate in the workplace and your fit to our values. This usually takes 45 min to 1 hour.
Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
