Job Description

We’re looking for a Principal UX Researcher in Spain to join the Oracle NetSuite HCM group.

As a key member of our user experience team, you will lead and conduct comprehensive research to enhance the usability and user satisfaction of our HCM software, which empowers organizations to streamline and manage their workforce's core functions, including payroll, benefits administration, time and attendance tracking, and more. Your expertise will directly contribute to shaping a seamless and intuitive user experience that transforms the way businesses manage their workforce.

Our team’s focus is on our HCM (Human Capital Management) product which provides a suite of capabilities that make HR service delivery easier and more efficient for everyone across the organization.

We are part of a global family of designers, researchers, product managers, developers, and technical writers, sharing an enthusiastic work culture in our offices across Redwood Shores (CA, USA), Austin (TX, USA), Montevideo (Uruguay), Kitchener-Waterloo (Canada), Brno (Czech Republic), and Barcelona (Spain).

Responsibilities

Role

 

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to determine a research strategy as well as a plan for executing tactical research.
  • Propose, plan, execute, analyze, and deliver user research at various stages of the product lifecycle, including formative and generative research, validation research, and measurement of final product experiences.
  • Collaborate with the experienced design team and product management to help establish a strong research methodology and process. Educate team members on best practices and enable teams to explore research activities on their own.
  • Work with research ops and participant recruiting to ensure the right participants.
  • Contribute to the development of a global research practice. Be part of a global community of researchers, over 35 XRs across NetSuite.

     

 

Your Qualifications and Skills.

  • 7+ years’ experience doing user research, preferably in the Enterprise domain or business software.
  • Experience with HCM and/or payroll is a plus. Extensive experience planning and executing different types of research and usability testing activities such as interviews, customer visits, requirements gathering activities, survey research, and formative and summative usability evaluations.
  • Expertise with evaluative research and associated methodologies is a plus.
  • Degree in the field of Psychology, User Experience, HCI, Human Factors or related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • Ability to creatively come up with appropriate research and usability methods for given research questions.
  • Strong sense of independence, ownership, and initiative.
  • Ability to self-direct and manage what to work on, how to get it done, and when to deliver.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple high-profile projects in a fast-paced organization.
  • Familiarity with research platforms and tools: UserZoom, User Testing, Voice of Customer, dScout, and research repositories.
  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to socialize insights and learnings.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Flexibility to work with geographically distributed teams and willing to travel (less than 5%)
  • Will involve working with customers and product team members in North America and Europe.
