lastminute.com is looking for a Principal Software Quality Assurance Engineer to help Technology teams define test strategies and help ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality product releases. Quality Engineer's mission is to give our customers the smoothest end-to-end experience ever. Enabling Engineers and Business to release features quickly and reliably through testing, tooling and automation frameworks spreading the knowledge to overall the company. You will work closely with Dev Teams to provide solutions for test automation, regression, end-to-end and system test, and with DevOps and SREs to build and maintain testing infrastructures.

You’ll Spend Time On The Following:

  • Leads quality assurance and testing projects, including developing and monitoring project plans
  • Researching, learning and sharing experiences on new technologies and trends and “how you can” leverage them in current and future products
  • Provides innovative direction and guidance on reports, communications, and training materials and ensures recommendations are aligned with customer/organization needs and capabilities
  • Designing and developing the automation test framework and test suite for our web-based software applications, mobile applications, APIs and communications paths at the component level as well as at the system level along with other QA team members
  • Analyzes the effectiveness QA tools through measurables KPIs, ensuring being able to catch bugs at an early stage in the development cycle
  • Actively participate in software engineering Sprints providing feedback for quality improvement at each step and ensure teams meeting acceptance criteria
  • Improve release management infrastructure and processes working side by side with engineers and product owner

Qualifications

Essential

  • +5 years experience in Software Quality Testing and worked in Agile development model with object-oriented programming skills
  • Good knowledge as software engineer programming language like Java, Kotlin
  • Strong Knowledge of Test Automation Patterns and tools (i.e Selenium, Cucumber, Jmeter, Gatling, Hoverfly)
  • Proven experience in Technical leadership and project management
  • Experience mentoring team members on testing methodologies, practices and standards
  • Strong Experience in extreme programming methodologies and microservices
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Experience in measurable KPIs in order to improve teams' performances and reduce cross dependencies bottlenecks and attrition
  • Proven experience Designing and Implementing Environments in a complex distributed architecture
  • Good knowledge of AWS technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and IaC
  • Good understanding of change management and incident management processes

Desirable

  • Experience working with in product-oriented companies with Product Owners and Engineers
  • Certifications in one of above-described fields
  • Good understanding of hybrid cloud architecture
  • Experience working with Jira
