Job Description

We are a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, innovators and so much more. We believe amazing games and experiences start with teams as diverse as the players and communities we serve. At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination.

Remote options from the locations listed in this job posting.

We are DRE (Development & Release Engineering) - a central EA team at the intersection of DevOps, Release Management and Build Engineering. We build, manage and maintain the build pipelines for the majority of EA's studios worldwide, as well as provide a number of user facing tools to manage developer workflows and schedule playtests. We are in the midst of a global transformation from site embedded teams to a product-driven organisation and are looking for experienced software engineers to help us create cutting edge software that relies on modern software development practices.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop and support our array of both new and existing products that power our CI build pipeline and power game team workflows. We are an international team and believe you know how you work best, so you can choose to work remote, hybrid or on-site across the listed locations (if you are based outside these locations but still within Europe you can still apply and we will take your application into consideration).

You will work on several DRE Products (switching between them on a case-by-case basis) and be the senior tech lead for product development within DRE Europe. We ask that you have broad technical knowledge across multiple domains, excellent soft skills, and the ability to context switch easily.

You will also help guide conversations between our partners (DICE, Criterion, EA Romania) and be a local escalation point, supporting and liasoning the respective product and CI Technical Directors. You will report to the EU Technical Director.

Responsibilities

You will design, develop and maintain our varied suite of products and tools that enable the automation to turn source code and assets into playable games, trigger automated tests, configure and automate playtests, and set up game developer workflows. This is a hands-on coding role but there will be a lot of opportunities to mentor the engineering team and guide development. You will work closely with various senior technical leaders both within and outside of DRE to ensure our products solve the game teams requirements in the best possible way. You will help set the standard for software quality within the team and be an example of what good looks like. You will work closely with our customers to ensure we can provide services that help them develop and find the fun faster.
