We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to take ownership of our Data Infrastructure, contribute to new implementations, design Architecture and Data Models, and lead other Data Engineers.
Your future responsibilities and scope:
- Onboarding on our entire Data Stack both Technically (GCP, streaming, big data) and Business Logic wise
- Work closely with the CDO and with other Data Engineers, Data Scientists, the Analytics team and the Growth team
- Interact directly with the business users and design the data solutions for their requirements
- Take key part in building the Data Engineering roadmap including internal infrastructure and robustness projects as well as solutions for Madbox business requirements
- Meet Madbox different departments and key business entities
- Work with the Director of PM to align all projects with the business needs, OKRs and priorities
- Agree on the deliverables work plan and the sprint stories
- Take an active part on the daily standup meetings to report your progress, align with the rest of the team and present your ideas
The profile we are looking for:
- Master in Engineering or Computer Science
- More than 4 years of hands-on experience with Big Data systems architecture and pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms GCP/AWS and their data services
- Experience designing CI/CD solutions
- Experience setting up DBT in cloud orchestrators
- Deep understanding of Data Models optimized to solve complex business requirements
- Very high level of Python and SQL
- Autonomy and ability to make decisions and make projects move forward while keeping transparency and continuous updates to relevant stakeholders
- Have an analytical mindset
- Good communication skills: straight to the point, focused on constructive feedback, positive mindset
- Fluent communication (full English proficiency) with the rest of the team, demonstrating leadership while being deeply hands-on
