Launch DevOps combines development and operations to increase the efficiency, speed, and security of software development and delivery compared to traditional processes, especially for launching new e’-commerce for our clients. A nimbler software development lifecycle results in a competitive advantage for businesses and their customers.


Launch DevOps team members work closely with the Launch teams, helping teams to adopt the best practices to improve the speed, quality, security, and predictability across all phases of a launch. Focuses on bringing automation across launches—build tool, test, inspection, provision, deploy, promote, monitor launch activities and failover -- through the consistent use of automation tools, continuous integration, continuous delivery pipelines, and both on-premise and cloud-native platforms.

They will be responsible for deploying launch tools and implementing integrations that meet our launch department needs. Job requirements

  • Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure for the launch department
  • Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers
  • Working on ways to automate and improve launch processes
  • Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and 'fixes'
  • Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
  • Setting up tools and required infrastructure
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for their adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
  • Share information and knowledge and provide help and formation to other team members

Requirements

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Proficient with git and git workflows
  • Good knowledge of PHP
  • Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL
  • Experience and knowledge with containerizing and clustering tools like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experience with AWS environment
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Collaborative team spirit

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation
  • Experience in a peak performance organization, preferably a tech startup
