This role offers a lot of flexibility location wise within Spain, getting to the office once a month minimum.

EA has built a cutting-edge Localization powerhouse that covers the needs for both current and next generation platforms.

The Video Localization team is in charge of delivering hundreds of localised versions of the majority of EA’s games trailers. We need to ensure quality, and to achieve this, we have multiple automated processes in place. On top of that, we’re always looking for ways of improving our processes and being prepared for new challenges.

As a Junior Full Stack Engineer you will help develop web apps and video automation solutions. You will report to our automation developer and will be in touch with the team to know their needs. Your expertise will help create scalable, efficient, and user-friendly tools that improve video production workflows and enhance the video creation process.

Responsibilities

  • Tools development: You will develop web apps using JavaScript and full stack frameworks like Next.js or SvelteKit to automate repetitive tasks and improve video production efficiency.
  • User interfaces: You will build intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for the video automation tools.
  • Scripts development: Use your expertise in Node.js and REST APIs to build backend services that support the functionalities of the video automation tools.
  • Integration: You will integrate the video automation tools with several video-related APIs and third-party services.
  • Database management: You will design data models and access data related to the video production process.
  • Documentation: You will document the development process, APIs, and configurations to facilitate seamless collaboration and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Technical skills
    • JavaScript: You have at least 1 year of experience using JavaScript (TypeScript preferred) developing both backend and frontend web tools. You have also worked with UI frameworks like React, Vue or Svelte.
    • Adobe After Effects: You are familiar with Adobe After Effects and the ability to work with its scripting API to automate video-related tasks.
    • Database knowledge: Familiarity with relational database systems like PostgreSQL.
  • Soft Skills
    • Team player: Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Other qualifications
    • Video technologies: Understand of different video formats and codecs. Usage of CLI video tools like ffmpeg.
