To fuel our Engineering team in Barcelona, we are looking for a Full-stack Software Developer to join one of our development teams - WirisQuizzes - to help us develop and enable our product into Google Classroom, which requires making a standalone web app.
About the team
WirisQuizzes team is responsible for the development and maintenance of WirisQuizzes, an assessment tool that allows teachers to create automatically graded questionnaires for STEM subjects, the mathematical engine behind it, and some of the web services offered by the MathType formula editor.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our question and quiz edition tools, our graph editor, and our smart calculator. We maintain a set of Moodle plugins and we are building our own standalone assessment platform, based on Laravel and Vue.js. Take part in architectural decisions regarding our APIs and databases.
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
- Review colleagues’ code.
- Ensure best practices and standards are upheld in our code.
Job Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a software developer.
- Experience working with PHP, preferably with a framework such as Laravel.
- Experience working with JavaScript. Experience with frameworks (especially Vue.js) would be nice.
- Experience working with SQL databases.
- Understanding of Clean-code and SOLID principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional competency in both Spanish and English.
- Team-player.
- Ability to work well in a hybrid work environment.
Great to have
- Experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
- Experience with API design using OpenAPI.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience in writing automated tests.
- Experience with building plugin solutions for Moodle, WordPress, Drupal, etc.
