Job Description

Bamboo Energy is a cleantech startup born in Barcelona four years ago. We offer a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud platform to optimize energy consumption, allowing consumers to reduce their electricity bill and gain extra revenues, helping the integration of renewables in the energy system. We are a young company using deep tech and data to accelerate the energy transition.

Our tech team is responsible for developing the scalable cloud solution. We leverage software engineering best practices to offer reliable services to our clients. We are building a multi-app frontend system with lots of opportunities to improve on processes, quality, and techniques.

As a Frontend Developer you will participate actively in the UX/UI conversations with product owners to decide which is the best solution for the challenges we face every day. You will be taking relevant decisions on which patterns or practices to follow to achieve a high scalable and maintainable frontend solution. You will also have the opportunity to build new frontend applications for our APIs from the ground up.

At Bamboo Energy we love flexible remote work. We usually meet twice a week in our office in Barcelona, hold design sessions, pair-program in person and have fun lunches together.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AT BAMBOO?

  • Implement new features in the existing frontend application built with Vue 3.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create intuitive and attractive user interfaces for new features.
  • Design and develop new frontend applications and modules from scratch using Vue 3.
  • Assist in setting up deployment pipelines using Docker and cloud systems.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?

Essential:
  • 2+ years of experience or training in frontend development.
  • Knowledge of with typescript and Vue.
  • Experience with common development tools as Git or Visual Studio Code.
Advantageous
  • Knowledge in Node.js, Docker, Google Cloud or Github Actions.
  • Knowledge in Pinia and Vuex for state management in Vue applications.
  • Experience working agile along with product & design teams.
Languages:
  • Spanish
  • English for technical purposes
And some soft skills:
  • Eager to explore the unknown.
  • Feels comfortable discussing new services technical implementation.
  • Can successfully explain difficult problems to non-technical audience
  • Proactive, efficient and results oriented
